The arrangement
Acme Works is published by EDOLIN s.r.o., Světova 523/1, Libeň, 180 00 Praha 8, Czech Republic (company number 10839836, VAT CZ10839836). The company takes part in an affiliate advertising programme that covers the game World of Warships.
When a reader follows an advertising link from this site to the advertiser's page and then completes the action the programme measures — registering an account and activating it — the programme pays EDOLIN s.r.o. a commission. The payment comes from the advertiser's marketing budget. It is not added to anything a reader pays, and no reader pays anything to use this site.
What this changes for you
- Your costs are identical. Arriving through a link from here gives you the advertiser's ordinary terms and the advertiser's ordinary prices. There is no surcharge and no special pricing in either direction.
- The game is unchanged. Nothing about the product, the account, the download or the support you receive differs because of where the visit came from.
- You are never required to use the links. Every page on this site can be read in full without following one, and typing the publisher's own address into a browser reaches the same destination.
What the commission does not decide
This is the part that matters, so it is stated in specifics rather than in reassurances.
- It does not determine the order of coverage. The comparison page lists entries alphabetically and states its criteria before any entry appears.
- It does not determine what is said. The advertiser does not review pages before publication, has no approval over wording, and is not the source of any troubleshooting advice on this site.
- It does not suppress inconvenient facts. Where the advertiser's own material conflicts with a reader's interest — a promotional code with an expiry date that has passed, a platform that is not supported — this site says so on the page where it is relevant.
- It does not buy recommendations. No page here tells a reader to buy, install or register for anything. Links are described as what they are: a route to the publisher's own site, where the current terms live.
What does determine coverage
Three things, in order. First, whether readers are actually having the problem: subjects are drawn from faults that recur in public support discussion. Second, whether there is an Australian angle that generic guides miss — latency to distant servers, connection types, consumer guarantees, classification. Third, whether the category is one the publisher has a commercial programme in, which is why the product coverage on this site is narrow rather than comprehensive. The about page describes that limitation in more detail, and a reader should weigh it.
How advertising links are marked
Every link that can earn a commission is identifiable in three ways at once:
- A sentence immediately beside the link says that it is paid and who pays.
- A disclosure box appears in the upper part of the homepage, before any advertising link on that page.
- The link itself is marked in the page's code with
rel="sponsored nofollow", which is how search engines are told that it is advertising.
Advertising links point directly at the advertiser's address. This site does not use redirect pages, link shorteners, cloaking, or scripts that alter a link's destination when it is clicked. The address shown by your browser before you click is the address you reach.
Where the links appear
At the time of this review, advertising links appear on the homepage, the accounts and sign-in page, the platform support page and the comparison page. No advertising link is placed in the middle of a technical procedure, and no paragraph on this site exists solely to carry one.
Other commercial relationships
There are none. This site sells no advertising space, publishes no sponsored articles, accepts no payment for inclusion or position, and receives no product, service or hospitality from any game publisher. It carries no display advertising network and no tracking of any kind — see the cookie policy, which describes a site that sets no cookies at all.

World of Warships and all other product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners. Acme Works is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. Product names are used only to identify the products being described.
Australian context
Australian Consumer Law prohibits misleading or deceptive conduct in trade, and the obligation falls on the publisher of a statement as well as on the advertiser behind it. Disclosure on this site is written to be obvious at the point of use rather than buried, and claims about any product are limited to what the product's publisher states. The ACCC is the regulator responsible, and it publishes guidance on advertising and selling for businesses.
